Intraocular laser surgery is basically done by using a focused ultrasound beam to remove problematic or broken corneal tissues. As of now, cataract extraction is the most common procedure done with the help of this technology. Other procedures that are gaining popularity include microkeratome and vitrectomy surgeries. In the past, glasses and contacts were the only ophthalmic devices available for the treatment of vision problems.
