Coronavirus Vaccine Market

Pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical have ramped up their coronavirus vaccine production amid a deadly second wave of infections that are now abating. Coronavirus (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. The most common symptoms include dry cough, fever, and tiredness. Most infected people develop mild to moderate illness and recover without hospitalization, while others require hospitalization. The virus affects different people in different ways. Cases of the coronavirus remain high in some parts of the world, such as India, where few people have been vaccinated.

However, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have recommended that the use of the coronavirus vaccine continue in the United States because the benefits outweigh the risks. Currently, several coronavirus vaccines are in clinical trials. However, the FDA will review them all before approving them for use. Reported side effects to COVID-19 vaccines have mostly been mild to moderate and short-lasting. They include headache, fatigue, fever, muscle pain, diarrhea, chills, and pain at the injection site.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), globally, as of 6:32 pm CEST, 29 June 2021, there have been 181,176,715 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 3,930,496 deaths. While, as of 28 June 2021, a total of 2,660,756,547 vaccine doses have been administered. With the increasing number of cases, the demand for the coronavirus vaccine is also increasing at a rapid pace, worldwide.
